What is Tail Lift?

A dock loading tail lift, or lifting platform, is a truck’s tailboard that can be lowered to road level to make loading and unloading easier. The platform can tilt from a vertical to a horizontal position and then be raised or lowered using hydraulic cylinders. It can be operated from the loading platform or through controls located on the side of the truck.
